About this diorama
The Bus Station is one of the smallest pieces in the range at 19.7 x 10 x 10 cm, and it's the one that looks most like a fragment of a real street. Where the larger scenes give you a whole building, this gives you the corner of a route: a shelter, a stop, a bit of pavement. It's a deliberately partial view, and that's what makes it feel authentic rather than stagey.
At 366.4 g it's near the lightest in the range, and the construction is the same plastic, resin and fiberboard used across the line. The small format keeps the placement options open — a desk, a narrow shelf, a windowsill, a cabinet corner — and it pairs naturally with the other compact pieces if you're building a small multi-scene shelf rather than one large display.
Small scenes work differently
A 40 cm parking structure is a centrepiece; it asks to be looked at. A 19.7 cm bus stop is a detail; it asks to be noticed. That's a different relationship with the object, and for a lot of collectors it's the more satisfying one, because a small scene slots into a room without reorganising it.
It's also the format that works best in multiples. Two or three compact scenes on the same shelf read as a neighbourhood — a bus stop here, a repair shop there, a storefront between them — while two 40 cm parking lots side by side just read as a lot of shelf space used up. If the long-term plan is a shelf that looks like a street rather than a single display piece, the compact scenes are the more flexible building blocks.
Placement, with the numbers
Ten centimetres of depth means it fits on surfaces that won't take a 20 cm piece: a desk behind a keyboard, a bookshelf with standard 20 cm depth (where it leaves half the shelf free), a console table. Ten centimetres of height means it sits under a monitor riser or a low shelf without trouble.
The 19.7 cm width is about an A5 sheet, so the run of clear surface you need is small. Because it's only 366.4 g, it's also easy to lift out and reposition — useful if you move scenes around to photograph them, or if you want to rearrange a shelf without emptying it first.
What works in front of a bus stop
True 1/64 models fit exactly: Mini GT, Inno64, Tarmac Works and Kaido House measure 6.8–7.4 cm long and under 2.2 cm tall, and a single car waiting at the stop is the composition the scene was designed around. One car is the right number here — the scale is small enough that two would crowd the pavement.
Hot Wheels mainline castings run roughly 1/62–1/68 and can reach 2.4 cm. Since this is an open scene with a shelter rather than a closed building, the extra height rarely matters; only a very tall mainline moulding would look oversized next to a 10 cm structure. If you collect mainline, this is a safe pairing.
What arrives, and what doesn't
It arrives in a sealed colour box, protected inside a double-walled outer carton, ready to display with no assembly. At this size and weight it's among the lowest transit risks in the range.
Cars and figures are not included. Scenes ship bare so you place your own models, and figures are sold separately (G-Fans, MoreArt and similar). A bus stop is one of the scenes where a single figure adds a disproportionate amount — someone waiting at a stop tells a story that an empty shelter doesn't. But the scene reads fine with just a car, and fine with nothing at all while you decide.

Gift Angle
This is a good gift for someone whose collection is already underway and whose shelf is full — because it needs almost no space to add. It's also a sensible choice for someone in a small flat or a shared house, where a 40 cm piece would be a burden and a 19.7 cm piece is welcome.
At its price it's also the kind of gift that doesn't create an obligation. For a colleague, a low-key birthday, or a thank-you, a compact scene sits in the right band: more thoughtful than a voucher, not so expensive that it's awkward.

Frequently asked questions
Does this diorama fit 1/64 scale diecast cars?
Yes. True 1/64 models like Mini GT, Inno64, Tarmac Works and Kaido House measure 6.8–7.4 cm long and under 2.2 cm tall, which suits the pavement and shelter. One car waiting at the stop is the intended composition. Hot Wheels mainlines at roughly 1/62–1/68 also fit, and the open layout means height is rarely a concern.
How much space does it need?
About 19.7 x 10 cm of surface and 10 cm of height — an A5 footprint. It fits on a desk behind a keyboard, on a standard-depth bookshelf leaving the rest of the shelf free, or in a cabinet corner.
Is it big enough to be worth displaying on its own?
On its own it reads as a vignette rather than a street — a single moment rather than a scene. That works well as a desk accent or a shelf detail beside other objects. If you want one piece that fills a shelf, a 29.5 cm storefront or a parking structure will do more; if you want a shelf that gradually becomes a neighbourhood, small pieces like this one are the better building block.
Is assembly required?
No. It arrives ready to display out of the sealed colour box.
What's included in the box?
The Bus Station scene in Sealed Color Box Packaging. Cars and figures are not included and are sold separately.
Can I combine it with other small scenes?
Yes — the compact 19.7 x 10 x 10 cm format is shared by several pieces in the range, including the Repair Shop Interior, the Old Warehouse Street View and the Lawson Storefronts and Parking. Because they're identical footprints, they sit together on a shelf as a coherent street rather than a mismatched row, and you can rearrange them without one looking out of place.
