MINI GT Porsche 911 GT3 Green Dinosaur #1218 1/64 Diecast Model

Updated: October 2026

Green with red mirrors, a dark vein graphic over the bonnet and a row of pale teeth along the bumper: a 1/64 MINI GT Porsche 911 GT3 R that stands out.

US$39.99 ● In stock · Fast dispatch

It is a 911 GT3 R, the racing version of the 911 GT3, and at 1/64 it measures about 7.2 cm along the body and roughly 2.0 cm to the roof. The rear wing rises above that, on tall swan-neck pillars with a red endplate at each side. The body is the wide-arch 911 shape: a rounded bonnet with two deep vents, a large single-piece rear deck, and a roof that curves down into the engine cover without a separate boot. Black multi-spoke wheels sit under arches that are properly filled, and the car sits low enough that the front lip is close to the ground.

About this model

Green with red mirrors should not work. On this car it does, and the reason is that the green is a flat, saturated kelly green that has nothing soft about it, so the red mirror caps and the red wing endplate read as deliberate punctuation rather than as a clash. Add the dark reddish vein pattern that creeps across the bonnet and the roof, and the pale zigzag along the front bumper and the sills, and you have a 911 that looks like it was designed by someone who wanted it to be unmistakable from across a car park.

Reading the details, panel by panel

Across the top of the windscreen there is a white banner with the PORSCHE wordmark in it. On the door, a red square panel carries the white number 77, with a WeatherTech block above it and a GTD PRO badge below. Along the sill there is a red-edged band with MOTUL on it, and further back a dark AKRAPOVIC marking. On the rear wing there is a further number and a sponsor block on the endplate. The bonnet carries the same vein graphic that appears on the roof, printed in a dark red that sits somewhere between rust and maroon against the green.

The part that gives the livery its name is at the front. Along the leading edge of the bumper and again along the lower sill there is a row of pale triangular shapes that read as teeth. It is a graphic device rather than a physical part — printed onto the bodywork, not a separate moulding — and it runs the length of the lower body as a continuous band rather than as a set of separate points.

Pairing it with a scene, and the colour problem

This is a race car, so it belongs on pit or paddock ground. The Container Auto Repair Garage (598) at 29.7 x 19.7 x 14.5 cm is the enclosed-workshop option and gives the car a reason to be stationary. The Industrial Double-Level Parking (819) at 40 x 22 x 16.2 cm gives the longest flat run, which suits a car with a wing this wide. The Japanese Parking Lot (855) at 29.5 x 19.8 x 12 cm works if you want a plain base and one other car beside it. Height is not a factor: at about 2.0 cm tall the model clears every scene in the catalogue, including the 10 cm interiors of the Lawson Storefronts and Parking (759) and the Old Warehouse Street View (795), both 19.7 x 10 x 10 cm.

The colour is the factor. A green-and-red car this saturated does not blend into a scene — it takes over. On a muted base such as the Industrial Double-Level Parking or the Old Warehouse Street View, the green reads as the subject of the scene, which is usually what you want. On a scene that already has strong colour of its own, or beside another brightly liveried car, the two will fight each other and neither will look right. If you are building a row of cars, this one wants either a neutral neighbour or the middle of the row where it has space.

Arriving, and what not to expect

The model ships finished in a sealed colour box. Nothing needs assembling, there are no decals to apply, and there is no display stand in the carton. The body is a sealed casting, so the doors, the bonnet and the engine cover are all fixed — no panel opens, and on a GT3 R that is the right call, because the vents and louvres are what carry the detail at this size.

One thing to be straight about: the white PORSCHE banner is printed across the top of the windscreen, which means the lettering sits on a transparent surface rather than on painted bodywork. From a normal viewing distance of a metre or so it reads as a white band across the top of the glass with a dark smudge in it. The word resolves when you bring the car close, and not before. That is a limitation of printing light text on glass at 7 cm, not a defect, but if the windscreen banner is the detail you care most about, this model will not deliver it the way the listing photograph suggests.

It is a static display model and is not suitable for children under 14. The parts to handle carefully are the front lip, the wing endplates and the mirror stalks. Lift it under the sills and put it down flat.

Gift Angle

Some models are for collectors who want a specific car. This one is for the person who will enjoy owning it because of how it looks. The green-and-red scheme with the teeth graphic is memorable in a way that a plain silver 911 is not, and that makes it an unusually easy gift to give to someone whose interest in cars is aesthetic rather than technical. They do not need to know what a GT3 R is to want this on a shelf.

It is also a strong present for someone who already has a wall of 911s and wants the one that stands out. Because it is priced at the higher end of this batch, it works best as a birthday or a Christmas gift rather than a small thank-you. And it suits a recipient with a desk or a study, since the colour is bold enough to hold a corner of a room on its own without needing anything around it.

Frequently asked questions

Is the teeth graphic a separate part?

No. The pale triangular shapes along the bumper and sill are printed onto the bodywork as a graphic band.

Does this casting have opening doors?

No. It is a sealed casting with fixed doors, bonnet and engine cover.

Are the wheels steerable?

No. The wheels rotate but the front pair does not steer, so the car sits pointing straight ahead.

What is the vein pattern on the bonnet and roof?

It is a printed graphic in a dark red tone applied over the green, running across the bonnet and the roof panel.

Can you read the sponsor markings?

The larger ones, such as the number 77 and the WeatherTech block, are legible. The smaller marks on the rear wing and the sill are not readable at this size.

How does it compare in size with other MINI GT 911s?

It is close to the same length as other 911 GT3 castings at roughly 7.2 cm. The wing on this version is wider across the rear than the body itself.
